Jon Hicks is one of the finest young flatpickers to emerge from the British
Isles in recent years. His style is crisp and driving, with lightning speed
ornamentation that has earned him the title,"The King of Triplets." His music
is firmly rooted in the traditional music of Ireland. John is an Englishman
living in Galway. To date he has released one album, Chasing the Bear,
with guest appearances by Paddy Keenan and Niamh Parsons. Another is on the
way.
